Bouquet a Week
Posted on January 18th, 2010 No commentsThis year I am going to have a very lofty goal.
I learned to love flowers from my Mother, and I think it would be great if I could have a new bouquet of flowers each week.
The thing that makes this hard is that the bouquet must be from flowers that I have grown myself. I will force daffodils and tulips during November, December and January, and try to extend the fall flowers into late Fall.
I’m not sure it is possible, but I am going to give it a try. Even if I have fresh flowers for 40 weeks out of the year, that will be quite an accomplishment!!!
Here is the first bouquet, picture taken on January 18, 2010. These are paperwhites, a type of daffodil, I planted them around November 30, 2009. I forced them to bloom early and inside.Leave a reply
